Frequently asked questions
How long does the publishing process take?
Turnaround depends on your package. The Launch package (formatting only) typically completes in 3–5 business days. The Author package takes 7–14 days, and the Prestige package 14–21 days, depending on manuscript length and revision rounds. We'll give you a specific timeline once we review your project.
Do I need a KDP account before ordering?
No. If you don't have a KDP account we'll walk you through creating one and handle the full setup as part of your package. If you already have an account, we'll work within it.
What file formats do you accept?
We accept Microsoft Word (.doc, .docx), PDF, Google Docs (exported), and plain text (.txt) files. For best results, submit in Word format with your chapter headings clearly marked. Don't worry about formatting — that's our job.
Will I own my book and all the rights?
Absolutely. You retain 100% of your rights, royalties, and ownership. We are a service provider — we do the technical and creative work, and everything we produce for you belongs entirely to you.
What if I'm not happy with the cover or formatting?
Every package includes at least one revision round. The Author package includes one revision and the Prestige package includes two. We work with you until you're satisfied before submitting to KDP.
How do royalties work after publishing?
Amazon KDP pays royalties directly to you — either 35% or 70% of list price depending on your pricing and market. We don't take any cut of your royalties. Ever. Our one-time service fee is all you pay.
